Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at Hatch Park Deer Park in Smeeth, Ashford. Five fire engines were sent to the incident, and crews arrived to a large patch of woodland alight. Firefighters used hose reel jets and fogging units to extinguish the flames, before damping down any remaining hotspots. No casualties were reported and the cause is not yet known.
