Three fire engines attended whilst crews worked with gas safety engineers to make the scene safe.

There is no longer a need for people living or travelling in the St Martin's Hill area of Canterbury to keep their windows and doors closed, due to the gas leak yesterday.
Thank you for your patience while we worked with gas engineers to keep the public safe.

People living or travelling in the St Martin's Hill area of Canterbury are still being advised to keep windows and doors closed, due to an earlier gas leak. This advice is expected to remain in place until tomorrow morning.
Crews are not currently at the scene but gas engineers are working to make the necessary repairs and continue to make the area safe.
