Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a flat fire in St Leonards Road, Deal.
Three fire engines attended, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet.
One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics for suspected smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
