Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an out of control bonfire on Bowesden Lane, Shorne, near Gravesend.

Two fire engines attended and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

There are no reported injuries.

If you're planning a bonfire, particularly in the summer months when the ground can be extremely dry, remember:

• Supervise the burning at all times
• Keep bonfires to a manageable size, and build them clear of property and greenery
• When having a bonfire always keep a bucket of water or hosepipe nearby
