LGV overturns on M2 exit slip at Sittingbourne

Emergency services are at the scene of an LGV that has fallen on its side on the London bound exit slip of the M2 at junction 5 (Sittingbourne). The M2 remains open, however the exit slip from the M2 to the A249 is closed, and drivers will need to find alternative routes to Maidstone. Firefighters used heavy rescue equipment to free the driver of the lorry who was trapped by his injuries. He has been placed in the care of paramedics.
