Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a chimney fire in Arran Road, in Loose, Maidstone. 

Two fire engines attended, as well as a height vehicle, and crews extinguished the flames using chimney gear and hose reels. 

No casualties were reported and it’s believed the fire started accidentally. 

Following the incident, crews are reminding members of the public to ensure chimneys and flues are swept and checked regularly, to help reduce the risk of a fire.
