Maidstone

Five fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to tackle a fire at a disused two-storey building in Northumberland Road, Maidstone. It is believed that the fire started on the ground floor, spreading to the first floor and roof of the premises. Crews tackled the fire with hose reels and main jets, while the height vehicle was used as a water tower to fight the fire in the roof. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check the fire was completely out. The roof was destroyed by the blaze and the remainder of the building was damaged by fire and water. There were no reported casualties. The cause of the fire in under investigation.
