Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car alight on the M2 London-bound, in-between Junction 2 for Rochester and Junction 1 for Cobham. Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. No casualties were reported. It’s believed the fire started accidentally. Duty of care was left with the Highways Agency.
