People living near West Lane on the Isle of Grain are no longer being advised to close windows and doors, following a wildfire.

Six fire engines, a bulk water carrier and an all-terrain vehicle remain at the scene, and crews will continue to extinguish hotspots overnight.

The KFRS Volunteer Response Team were also in attendance.

Crews are continuing to make good progress containing and extinguishing the fire, and the number of fire engines is being reduced.

Due to smoke still being in the area, people are being advised to keep windows and doors closed.
