Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a 53 seater coach on fire on the coast-bound carriageway of the M2 between junction 1 and junction 2. All occupants of the coach were safely evacuated and there were no reported injuries. Crews used a hose reel jet and compressed air foam system to extinguish the fire which is believed to have started by an overheated engine. The coach was completely destroyed in the blaze.
