Earlier advice to close doors and windows has now been lifted and crews have extinguished a fire in a derelict building in Ordnance Street, Chatham.

Six fire engines and a height vehicle were in attendance.

There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.

People living or travelling near Ordnance Street, Chatham are being advised to close their windows and doors due to heavy smoke coming from a fire in a derelict building.

Six fire engines and a height vehicle are currently in attendance and crews are working to extinguish the flames.
