Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a kitchen fire at a flat in Railway Street, Gillingham. Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames. No casualties were reported. The cause is not yet known.
