Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a property fire on Cory's Road in Rochester. Four fire engines were sent to the scene, and crews arrived to a fire on the balcony area of the flat. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.One person was passed into the care of paramedics for smoke inhalation. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
