Final update at 7pm: 

Earlier advice for people in the Malmaynes Hall Road area of Upper Stoke, Rochester is no longer in place. 

Firefighters extinguished approximately three tonnes of wheat on fire as well as household waste.

Crews have now left the scene.  

Update at 2pm:

People are still being advised to keep their windows and doors closed around the Malmaynes Hall Road area of Upper Stoke, Rochester due to a large amount of smoke coming from wheat on fire.

Firefighting operations have now finished but crews remain in attendance as the wheat continues to burn in a controlled environment.
