Firefighting operations have now finished at the scene of a barn fire in Westerham. 

There were no reported injuries and the cause is not known. 

Update at 4:16pm

Crews are no longer advising people living near Chestnut Avenue in Westerham to close their windows and doors.

This follows an incident involving a barn fire which spread to nearby grass. Crews were able to stop the grass fire from spreading further using hose reel jets and main jets.

The incident is being scaled down to two fire engines and a bulk water carrier.

No injuries have been reported.

People living or travelling near Chestnut Avenue in Westerham are being advised to close windows and doors, due to smoke coming from a barn fire in the area.

Five fire engines, a bulk water carrier and a specialist wildfire vehicle are in attendance, and crews are working to extinguish the fire.
