Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a bedroom fire at a house in Sevenoaks.
Three fire engines were sent to the home in Bourchier Close, where crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
Sadly, two guinea pigs died.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.
