Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an electrical cupboard fire in a domestic property on Hever Road, West Kingsdown.
Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
The KFRS Volunteer Response Team also attended to support with the welfare of residents.
The cause is not yet known.
