Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a large trailer alight on the M25 coast-bound, between Junction 5 for Sevenoaks and Junction 4 for Orpington.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reel jets.
No injuries were reported.
