Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an electrical fire on a boat in Queenborough, on the Isle of Sheppey.

Four fire engines and the water safety unit attended the scene near South Street, where crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used a battery powered fan as well as natural ventilation methods to deal with the incident.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause is thought to be from a rechargeable battery.
