Fire fighting operations are now complete at the incident on Standard Quay in Faversham

There are no reported injuries and the cause is believed to be an electrical fault. 

 

Update: 7:00am on 26 October 2025

People living or travelling near Standard Quay in Faversham are no longer being advised to keep windows and doors closed following smoke from a fire at an industrial building. Crews are no longer advising people travelling to avoid the area.

Six fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.  

No injuries have been reported and the cause is not yet known.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to reports of a fire in an industrial building in Standard Quay, Faversham.  

Crews are advising people living or travelling near Standard Quay in Faversham to close their windows and doors due to a large plume of smoke. People are also being advised to avoid the area.

Six fire engines are currently in attendance, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose-reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.
