Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a house on The Rocks Road in East Malling, after the roof space of a ground floor extension caught alight. 

Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used equipment to cut away the material on the roof to expose and extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries and it’s believe the fire started whilst workers were using a heat gun to install new felt on the roof.
