Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Hedge hit by lightning in Hadlow
Incident details
Firefighters responded to reports 40m of hedge that was alight in Bells Farm Road, Hadlow at 8pm, believed to have been caused by lightning. One fire engine was sent and crews used two hose reels jets and water from a hydrant to put the fire out. They spent 30 minutes damping down and turning over.
