Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Baled straw fire in Wilmington, Dartford
Incident details
Update: 11.30pm Firefighters made steady progress, using two hose reels and water from a water unit and hydrant. The stop came through shortly after 1am, when crews left the scene but will be revisiting the area this morning. 
 
 
Update: 10.55pm Fire crews are making a fire break and using a hose reel to tackle the fire.   
 
Firefighters are in attendance at a fire involving approximately 50 bales of straw. Smoke can be seen from both carriageways on the A2 and drivers are asked to take extra care.
