Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Terrier rescued after fall into 20 metre shaft - Broadstairs
Incident details
A terrier was rescued by firefighters using rope rescue equipment, after it fell into a 20 metre (60ft) open air shaft in fields near Bromstone Road, Broadstairs. 
 
The dog was brought to safety in a special harness and reunited with its owner, unhurt apart from a cut on one paw.
