Incident
Baled hay fire in Tonge
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is still at the scene of a fire involving approximately 30 tonnes of baled hay.  Initially three fire engines and a bulk water carrier were sent to deal with the fire. The farmer assisted using a teleporter to pull the hay bales apart to help crews extinguish the fire. A controlled burning strategy is now in place and operations at the scene have been scaled back. More to follow.
