Incident
Horse rescue in Sittingbourne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a horse down in a stable on Raspberry Hill Lane in Sittingbourne. One fire engine and our Animal Rescue Unit attended, and crews arrived to find the horse stuck inside the stable and unable to get back up. Crews used rescue equipment to safely move the 17 hands horse, named Gladys, out into the open, before placing rescue straps around the horse to lift her back onto all four hooves. The horse was then handed back into the care of its owner.
