Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Woman cut free from car crash in Boxley near Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a crash involving two cars on the Lidsing Road in Boxley near Maidstone. On arrival crews found three women trapped in one of the cars. Two of them were assisted out by paramedics, a third woman in her 40s needed firefighters to cut her free. Using rescue cutting gear the firefighters freed the woman and together with paramedics transferred her out of her car and into the care of SECAmb. Kent Police were in attendance to manage the traffic around the vehicle.
