Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car fire spreads to standing corn in Sheldwich
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car fire on the A251 between North Street and Sheldwich at 5.49pm. Fire crews were quickly on the scene to find that the fire had spread from the car to a field of standing corn. 
They used two hose reel jets and compressed air foam and had extinguished the fire by 6.20pm. Crews left the scene just before 7pm.
