Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in flats in Folkestone
Incident details
Correction: Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to The Parade in Folkestone, to reports of a fire in a terrace property used as flats. Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire on the second floor. Crews provided oxygen therapy to one person suffering the effects of smoke inhalation, and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
