Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Shed fire in Sittingbourne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a shed alight in Yelsted Road, Sittingbourne. 
 
Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, which had spread to another outbuilding. Both sheds were completely destroyed by the fire and a car was also damaged from radiated heat. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause is believed to be accidental.
