Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car fire at motorway services near Gillingham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a car alight in the car park at Medway Services, off the M2, near Gillingham. 
 
Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause  is not yet known.
