Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Field of cut corn alight in Longfield
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a field of cut corn well alight in Longfield Road, Longfield. At the height of the fire, six fire engines, a bulk water carrier and around 24 firefighters attended the scene to bring the blaze under control. There were no reported casualties and the cause is not yet known.
