Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Update: Fire in Herne Bay wildlife park

The fire at The Wildwood Trust on Herne Common, in Herne Bay, is now out. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used main jets to tackle the fire and prevent it from spreading. There are no reported human casualties, and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to reports of an outbuilding and an area of grassland alight at The Wildwood Trust on Herne Common, in Herne Bay. Four fire engines have been sent to the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are working to bring the fire under control. More to follow.
