Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Derelict building fire in Whitstable
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a derelict property in Graystone Road, Whitstable. 
 
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to find the building well alight. 
 
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the fire, which is believed to be suspicious. 
 
Anyone with information, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/175288/20.
