Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Lorry trailer alight on Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the Maidstone-bound carriageway of Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone, to reports of a lorry trailer containing cardboard and paper, well alight. Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended and crews extinguished the fire using a main jet and a hose reel jet. There were no reported casualties and the cause is believed to be accidental. 
 
Kent Police also attended for traffic management.
