Kitchen fire in Gillingham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the kitchen of a commercial property on Brompton Road in Gillingham. Three fire engines were sent to the scene, and crews arrived to smoke issuing from the rear of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a high pressure fan to extinguish the flames and clear the property of smoke. No casualties were reported, and the cause is believed to be accidental.
