Update: Rubbish fire in Sittingbourne

Update: 3:30am 
 
Firefighting operations at the scene of a rubbish fire on Swale Way in Sittingbourne are complete, and the fire is now out. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. 
 
Those living and working nearby are no longer advised to keep windows and doors closed. Please share this update with any friends, family or neighbours in the affected area, who may not have access to the internet or social media.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene of a rubbish fire on Swale Way, Sittingbourne. Two fire engines are in attendance.
