Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Update: Roof fire near Swanscombe

Firefighting operations at the scene of a roof fire on Southfleet Road near Swanscombe are complete and the fire is now out. Crews used hose reel jets and a height vehicle to extinguish the blaze. The cause has not yet been confirmed.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene of a roof fire on Southfleet Road, near Swanscombe. Six fire engines and a bulk water carrier are currently in attendance, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets to tackle the fire. No casualties have been reported.
