Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Electrical fire in Strood
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an electrical fire at a commercial premises in High Street, Strood, Rochester. 
 
Four fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, before using a high pressured fan to clear the property of smoke. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
It’s believed the fire started accidentally in a storage room.
