Flat fire in Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a flat fire on Pudding Lane in Maidstone. Four fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene, and crews arrived to smoke issuing from the three-storey building. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a covering jet to tackle the blaze, which was located on the second floor. The exact cause has not yet been established, but is believed to be accidental. No casualties were reported.
