Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Dishwasher fire in Sevenoaks
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a dishwasher alight at a house in Dartford Road, Sevenoaks. 
 
Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, while using a smoke curtain to stop the fire from spreading. 
 
Firefighters then used a high pressured fan to clear the home of any smoke. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
The cause is believed to be accidental.
