Incident
Woman and children rescued from floodwater
Incident details
KFRS crews rescued a woman and two children from a car trapped in floodwater under a railway bridge on Selling Road, between Neames Forstal and Oversland.  The caller said that the water inside her car was up to the gear box.  Firefighters using a water safety unit and boat carried the woman and two children to safety.  KFRS is reminding people about the dangers of driving through floodwater.  It is easy to underestimate the depth, how fast the water is moving and any hidden hazards.
