Firefighting operations have now finished at an industrial fire in Northwood Road, Ramsgate.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known but is being investigated.

Update at 9.30am, 24 July:

Advice to keep windows and doors closed in the Northwood Road area of Ramsgate has now been lifted. 

However, the road is still closed and crews will remain at the site to continue to monitor.

Crews remain at the scene of an industrial fire in Northwood Road, Ramsgate as they continue to monitor the property.

Residents and people working in the area are still being asked to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.

People living and working around Northwood Road in Ramsgate are still advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

There are now two fire engines at the scene as crews continue to work on the site.

Update at 11am:

Firefighting operations at an industrial fire on Northwood Road in Ramsgate have been scaled down to four fire engines and a height vehicle. 

However, people living or working in the wider Northwood area are still advised to keep windows and doors closed. 

The KFRS volunteer response team are still in attendance.

People are still being advised to keep windows and doors closed after an industrial fire in Northwood Road, Ramsgate.

There are currently 11 fire engines and a bulk water carrier at the scene and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, are using main reel jets to extinguish the flames. 

The volunteer response team is also in attendance.
