Update at 6:30pm on 19 September: 

The road has re-opened and people living or travelling near Moat Road and Willow Way are no longer being advised to avoid the area, following a crash involving two vehicles. 

One fire engine attended, and on arrival all people involved were out of the vehicles and crews assisted Kent Police in making the scene safe.

Motorists are advised to avoid Mote Road and Willow Way in Maidstone, following a crash involving two vehicles.  

One fire engine is in attendance and crews are making the scene safe.
