Update at 10am:

Firefighting operations are now complete at a house fire on Yelsted Lane in Boxley, Maidstone. 

Six fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used main jets to extinguish the flames. Crews will continue to re-visit the house to ensure all hotspots are dampened down.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known. 

Update at 7:40am:

People living near Yelsted Lane in Boxley, Maidstone are no longer being advised to continue to keep their windows and doors closed or to avoid the area.

Three fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier remain at the scene, and crews are making good progress, monitoring and extinguishing any hotspots.
