Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a house fire in Invicta Park, Maidstone.
Eight fire engines and a height vehicle attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Four people were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics and taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation.
