People living or travelling near Ordnance Street in Chatham are no longer being advised to close their windows and doors following a fire at a derelict building.

Ten fire engines, a height vehicle, a bulk water carrier and technical rescue units were in attendance, and crews wearing breathing apparatus, used main jets to extinguish the fire.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause has not yet been confirmed.
