People living or travelling near Wharf Road, Gravesend, are no longer being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a fire at an industrial unit.

Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used main jets to extinguish the flames.

A revisit to the site is being made for 10am to check for any remaining hotspots.

People living or travelling near this area are being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from the site.

Eight fire engines and a bulk water carrier are currently in attendance and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, are using main jets to extinguish the flames.
