Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in Pound Road, in East Peckham, Tonbridge.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, which destroyed two wheelie bins and spread to a nearby building.
Firefighters also used a high-pressured fan to clear the building of smoke.
No injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.
