Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a van alight on the A282 Londonbound between junction 1 and 2, in Dartford.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire use hose reel jets.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known.
